Career Highlights:

The New York Rangers captain was selected for his second Olympics after recording one assist in six games with the 2010 silver medal-winning team in Vancouver. He is one of three Rangers on the American squad, joining center Derek Stepan and defenseman Ryan McDonagh. Callahan, a fourth-round pick in 2004, is in his eighth NHL season - all with New York. He should provide strong leadership and two-way play for the US, likely seeing time on both the power play and penalty-killing units. He had his best offensive season in 2011-12, when he set career highs with 29 goals and 54 points in 76 games. Callahan added six goals and four assists in 20 playoff games that season, which ended with the Rangers losing to New Jersey in the conference finals. Injuries have been a problem for Callahan, who dealt with a knee sprain, broken hand and broken ankle earlier in his career. He underwent shoulder surgery this past offseason and has missed time in 2013-14 with a broken thumb and another sprained knee. He has 11 goals and 13 assists this season. Callahan also represented the US internationally at the 2007 world championships and at the 2005 world juniors.
