Analysis: Seager extended his hitting streak to 10 games and he's batting .358 (24 for 67) over his last 16 contests. Fantasy owners probably would like to see a little more power from the standout shortstop, though, as he's homered only once in his past 20 games.

Analysis: Osuna also homered in his most recent game, a pinch-hit shot against St. Louis on Saturday. His blast off Alex Wood was the rookie's first off a left-hander this season, though he's hitting a solid .286 with an 845 OPS versus southpaws.

David Freese went 0 for 5 Monday as the Pittsburgh Pirates fell to the Los Angeles Dodgers 6-5. He ended the game with a .257 batting average.

Analysis: Granderson has now homered in two of his first three games as a Dodger and has five with 13 RBIs during a seven-game surge in which he's 8 for 29 (.276). The 36-year-old could prove to be an astute addition for the eventual NL West champions for the stretch run, not to mention the fantasy playoffs.

Justin Turner went 2 for 5 Monday as the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 6-5. Turner scored once. He ended the game with a .341 batting average.

The scrappy third baseman also has three steals over that period, giving him another fantasy category he's capable of contributing to.
8/22/2017 Jeff Mathis, Ari, C
Mathis left Monday's game against the Mets in the sixth inning with a bruised right hand.

Analysis: This news shouldn't affect too many fantasy players. Mathis is hitting .213 with two home runs and 11 RBIs in 58 games.

Analysis: Rodney was able to protect a two-run lead in the 10th inning despite giving up a leadoff homer to Michael Conforto. Though the 40-year-old's outings can be an adventure at times, he's converted seven straight save chances and struck out 15 over 10 innings while posting a 2.70 ERA over his last 11 appearances.
